The St. Louis Internship Program goal is to provide hope and opportunity for high school students in financial need through paid summer internships, intensive employability training, and year-round college and career planning, in partnership with businesses and community organizations, and to build the St. Louis community by developing motivated, well-trained, and talented future employees. Since 1992, 98% of nearly 4,000 SLIP interns have successfully acquired employability skills, graduated high school, and pursued their career goals.
St. Louis Community College has partnered with the St. Louis Internship Program to bridge college and career services for high school students in SLIP to become talented, diverse young professionals.
Earn college credit, paid summer internships, explore career paths, develop interviewing skills, create professional resumes, engage in year-round educational and career development activities, and expand computer literacy and other opportunities through St. Louis Community College-Forest Park.
This opportunity is for you if attend a city of St. Louis high school, are a high school sophomore or junior, maintain a 2.0 GPA or better, qualify for free or reduced lunch, and have a good attendance and good citizenship.
