The Kelley Junior Executive Institute (JEI) is a great way for high school students to explore the possibility of studying business on our campus.

During the last two weeks of June each year, this program sponsors 50 high-achieving students, who are primarily African American, Latino, and American Indian high school juniors or seniors, to come to the Kelley School’s IU Bloomington campus. While here, the students will

  • live in a residence hall
  • visit campus cultural centers
  • talk with current college students
  • attend workshops on a variety of topics, including how to apply to college, secure financial aid, manage time, take notes, succeed in the study of business, business careers after college, and the elements of entrepreneurship

JEI is offered in conjunction with the IU Bloomington Office of Academic Support and Diversity, and all expenses are paid by the Kelley School. Participants need to bring personal spending money.

Spelman College, a historically black college for women, is pleased to announce the 2007 Howard Hughes Biomedical Summer Science Program. The program is a five week residential program for high school students interested in pursuing a career in biology, biochemistry, medicine or other life-science related fields. The curriculum is designed to provide students with an integrative science education experience, while developing their laboratory, research and scientific literacy skills. Students will learn about the breadth and variety of biology disciplines by engaging in hands on projects and interacting with scientists in their “native” professional environment. The curriculum also provides students an opportunity to develop interpersonal skills by participating in group projects and scientific presentations.

SLIP notifies alumni of any opportunity that is made available through SLIP by mail or via this website.
