As the St. Louis Internship Program embarked on its 15th year of providing hope, support, and inspiration to disadvantaged high school students, we paid tribute to the contributions and commitments of our partners, supporters and volunteers at a special thank you breakfast held in their honor in November. Several community leaders joined us as we celebrated and shared insight on the impact of the program on area youth and local business.
Since 1992, the St. Louis Internship Program, along with the many agencies, institutions, organizations, and a wide range of employers has endeavored to open a world of opportunity for over 2,800 students. Through the continued support of the St. Louis community, we are preparing today’s youth with life skills. We are committed to developing responsible, productive citizens. The impact of our supporters has not only impacted the business community, but the St. Louis community as a whole.
Throughout the years, the Internship Program has been replicated in cities throughout the country. It has been recognized nationally in the New York Times, USA Today, and has received the Wall Street Journal School/Business Partnership Award. The most important accolades are the ones that the students, their families, and employers have stated over the years.
The St. Louis Internship Program is striving to continue this wonderful program and serve more students. Through our collaborative network of businesses, educational institutions, governmental agencies, foundations, professional organizations, not-for-profit agencies, and individual citizens, we know that we can continue to open a world of opportunity to deserving St. Louis youth.
On behalf of the entire St. Louis Internship Program, we want to extend our thanks to all of you who have helped to make this milestone possible.
