Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis

The Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis is currently accepting applications for the Interest-Free Loan Program for the 2007-08 academic year. Over $2.7 million will be loaned to area students attending undergraduate and graduate programs. The deadline for applications is Monday, April 16, 2007. These loans are awarded based upon financial need, academic progress, and character. Students can apply to borrow up to $6,000 per academic year to a maximum of $40,000.

Urban Flight and Rural Needs Scholarship Program

Covers 100% of Total Cost For Four Years for Missouri High School Graduates

The Urban Flight and Rural Needs Scholarship Program provides scholarships to eligible students who enter a teacher education program and make a commitment to teach as a condition of receiving the scholarship. The scholarship covers 100% of the total cost of eligible students’ tuition and fees up to four years, at a four-year college or university located in Missouri.

ELIGIBILITY

  • Be a United States citizen and a resident of Missouri.
  • Be a high school senior, a college freshman/sophomore, or returning adult student
  • Has or will graduate from Missouri high school with a 2.5 grade point average
  • Must have financial need
  • Must earn a Missouri teaching certificate and teach for up to 8 years in a Missouri public school with a higher than average “at-risk student population”
